Horseback riding is by appointment; follow the trails that wind through the tropical foliage and fruit trees accompanied by the ocean breeze. A 1 ½ hour guided tour will lead you to a lookout point with a panoramic view of the 4500 acre Hacienda Pinilla grounds. The cost is $50.00, which includes water, insect repellent, riding helmet and guide. A two-part program to introduce children to horses is also available; the first class teaches basic information, including what horses eat, how to treat them and the different types of saddles and other equipment. The second part is practical riding instruction. The cost of this program is $25.00 per hour. There is a driving tour of the entire Hacienda available for those considering living in this unique and romantic place. This tour lasts 40 minutes and is $20.00 per person.
